Records documenting the growth and development of the Friends of the UCSD Library, anon-profit educational organization dedicated to supporting the interests and needs ofthe libraries at the University of California, San Diego. The materials consist primarilyof correspondence, committee records, meeting minutes, membership lists, keepsakepublications, lecture program posters, and cassette audiorecordings of lecture speakers.Also included are undergraduate essays, publicity materials and photographs. The records are arranged in five series: 1) CORRESPONDENCE, 2) SUBJECT FILES, 3) BOOKCOLLECTION CONTEST MATERIALS, 4) PUBLICATIONS, and 5) LECTURE PROGRAMS.
